Machines are calling me on my mobile

Adv smses which i never subscribed to and yet give me options to unsubscribe always pissed me off. But those are nothing compared to today. Instead of machines smsing me, they are calling me. It goes like this:

1) Ring Ring Ring - my phone rings.
2) Me Answer - Hello.
3) "This is an auto mail box service from starhub. For English, please press 1. Hua Yu Qing An Er." - note. The machine's voice is singlish auntie voice. really nice.

I was like. WTH?? A machine calling me, asking me whether i wan english or chinese? and, I dun even know for what!

My first thought was to hang up. But i still pressed "1"

4) If you are a starhub subscriber, please press 1, if you are not a..
5) "1"
6) You have a message in you mail box. Please enter your 7 digit NRIC number
7) i hang up

I am not interested in listening to the message, and I am not bothered enough to enter my NRIC no, moreover.. hello.. you are the one who called me u stupid machine. U should know me.

8) Ti Ti, Ti Ti. Ti Ti, Ti Ti. - That was 2 smses
9) told me that my starhub contract ending soon, %50 off if i sign on for 2 years etc.

So that was the message. Ok, so i thought thats it. But i was still tramutised that machines can call me now.

Lunch time, phone ring again

10) Hello
11) "This is an auto mail box service from starhub. For engrish, please press 1. Hua Yu Qing...

Yes, itz the same machine calling me. And itz still saying I have a message in my mail box. I was thinking, ok, can, let me enter my nric, and get this done with.

12) entered 78****1#
13) - paused - "You have entered an invalid NRIC number. Please re-enter your 7 digit nric followed by the # key"
14) 78****1# - by now i was boiling
15) - paused - "you have entered an invalid NRIC..
16) Hang phone
17) Ti Ti, Ti Ti - sms received, itz the same sms.

I decided to call back the number to try enter my IC again cuz i really wan to hear that voice again.

18) (please read point 11 to point 16, cuz the same thing happened)

Ok, so too bad, there is nothing i can do. I went back to work.

3pm.

19) Ring Ring (looks like tat number)
20) Hellow
21) this is an auto voice service
22) hang phone
23) call 1633, held on 20mins for the operator to answer. The other machine keep saying "All our operators are busy at the moment, yr call is impt to us, please hold on..." "Yes, dun worry", i was thinking to myself, "I will never hang until you operator is not busy an answers my call."


Finally, someone by the name of Snoop answered, and i managed to control my anger, and told him wat happened. He said he will call me back after he check and help me unsubcribe to that weird service.

10mins later, he called back. and said he already help me unsubcribe, but, if i should still receive the call, he is very sorry, i hv to jus reject it.

Since he sounded sincere, i decided to let it be. But I told him nicely, that if he can, please feedback this to his management, that, this service is not for humans, and, otherwise, please ask those marketing ppl who started this to try it on themselves first.

He said he will feedback.

After that, i still recieved the sms that I had msgs in my mail box. But i never hear from the machine aunti again. God Bless.

In conclusion, to those marketing ppl who started all these sms advs, and now these calling machines, I hope after you die (naturally), you will go to hell (though it might sound like tat, but i dun mean "Die and go to Hell la!"), be locked in the room with nothing but a mobile phone, and all the smses you received are ADVs asking you to unsubscribe if you do not wan to receive them anymore. And when you hope that your ghost friends will call you, all that calls you are machines from hell asking you to key in your NRICs in hell for verification. And when you want to call anyone jus to talk, all you can reach is "Our operators are all busy now, please hang on an we will attend to you shortly.."

P.S. talking abt smses, i received smses from 100Plus that night. Welcome to 2010.
